So why the heading 'Polaris World Marketing and Porsche Design'... Well to me they both share something in common!
Over the last 5 years we have all seen tremendous market growth and personal spending. With low interest rates and cheap credit fuelling a global property boom like never seen before many of us looked further afield to invest for our future and Spain has been no exception.
I have witnessed many personal friends of mine attracted to the Sun, Sea and Sangria which Spain offers around every corner and during these years I have been invited to stay at many of my close friends second or third homes on the Costas.
Expat targeted urbanisations in and around Murcia down in Southern Spain have been fuelled by the Golf Loving Brits by one company in particular - Polaris World.
I've spent many weeks over there staying at a variety of these desert located city oasis developments and whilst enjoying the great weather, cheap fags and booze along with the convenience of the short haul cheap flights, one thing certainly didn't impress me.

The word 'Boxster' is recognized globally amongst car enthusiasts as a term associated with small performance drop-top 2 seats sports cars carrying heritage and appeal by the bucket load and a name which suited the pre-production prototype of the early Porsche Boxster... But what the hell is a ROXSTER!?!
If we weren't writing about cars you could envisage the name being associated with a 'Rock Stars', but even this new Porsche model will not appeal to that bunch of rebellious teenagers!
I remember when I was a young lad at the age of 8. At school the toy of choice was the RC (Radio Conrol) Tamiya Fox, or if you were really posh you owned the 4-wheel-drive version which was known as the Boomerang! Both of which seemed to be based on beach buggy designed derivatives!
So why do I mention RC cars... And what do I think they have in common with the New 2010 Porsche Roxster?

The jury is out and the panel of judges, as always when Porsche is developing a new model seems to be made up of 911 owners and enthusiasts. Yes that’s right, the very people that will most likely buy this new transaxle based front engine model and the very same owners who slated the Cayenne only to end up buy it as an alternative to the Range Rover Sport for their wives by the dozen later!
Well at least in the case of the new Panamera, Porsche put the engine in the "right place", but what is the market place for this new model?
Well, it's aimed at the family man who is true to the brand probably having previously owned a BMW M5, Maserati Quattroporte or 'god forbid' TVR Cerbera plastic 'point and squirt' British, (sorry Russian failed) pig.
The new Porsche Panamera does visually resemble the Maserati Quattroporte with a hint of 911 and Cayenne thrown into the mixing development bowl, but what are our thoughts on this new project which will be hitting show room floors in the near future (2009)?
Porsche took on the SUV market with the Cayenne, sharing its platform with the VW Touareg and Audi Q7 which proved to be a great success and is the fastest and best handling SUV available on the market today. But will Porsche achieve the same success with their new Panamera?

Petrol heads are known for debating all kinds of motoring facts and figures which normally takes place over a few pints of beer on a Friday night. One of the popular discussions that tends to crop up sure is motor racing.
There are all sorts of variations of motorsport - from Track to Drag - but who are the best drivers in the world and what makes them?
If salaries were to go by then it would have to be F1 drivers, but the truth of the matter is that Rally Drivers are exerted to far more challenging situations due to unstable and ever changing ground conditions, lack of safety run-off, extreme drifting and well the list goes on...

Money, second homes, luxury holidays, dining in the best restaurants and - last but not least - exotic car ownership are all things we aspire to, especially when they come dressed with the Zuffenhausen badge on the bonnet.
But how do we achieve these lifestyle goals?
Communism was sold to the Russian’s as being a life of ideology stating that we all should have the same but in reality it fails for the simple reason that the next man will always want more.
People have written books about how to become the next dot-com multimillionaire or rocket scientist and much more but I say you are just buying into a dream and lining the pocket of an expiring millionaire yourself.
The reality to making money in theory and principle is quite simple. Take Bill Gates as an example…develop a product or a service at low cost with high margins that is needed by the mass market and you are three quarters of the way there. But again this is theory that only a very few of us actually manage to achieve.
So I’m sorry that I can't deliver a concessive step-by-step solution to success and fortune, hell if I knew the answers then I would not be writing this article - LOL - or I’d probably be writing it better!
So when you’ve made it or are halfway there, I’m sure as a Porsche enthusiast a Carrera GT supercar would be high up on your shopping list…Well if I was in this fortunate position it would certainly be on mine, way before that second summer holiday home on the French Riviera or an extra few bottles of Crystal per week.
Anyway, meet Steve from the UK - a hardworking, honest and good old English chap who certainly is living the dream in the form of owning a Porsche Carrera GT. He has been a passionate Porsche enthusiast for many years having owned many Porsches and still posessing a nice selection of old and new models. Steve has been generous enough to take the time to write a one year ownership report of his favorite toy - Many thanks Steve who will now take over from me and put my editorial lack of skills to shame!

To kick off the launch of the new
DEUTSCH NINE E-Zine we are going to take a look into the world of car detailing; after all it’s your car and you want to keep it looking as good as new for as long as you own it helping maintain it’s residual value and - as we say - ensure that the next owner will be buying an exceptionally loved and well-cared for Porsche which both you and the new owner can be proud of.
Over the last 6 years of Porsche ownership we have tried and tested various detailing products available on the market including many of the big infamous brand names such as
AutoGlym,
Meguiars and
Zymol to name a few but by a mile shot we have concluded that Swissvax outperforms all other products on the market when taking into account the superb glossy finish, impressive paintwork protection capabilities, price and more importantly how long the detailing treatment will last and keep your car looking as good as the day it left the Stuttgart factory...if not even better!
Now before we crown Swissvax with an outright golden medal lets us just point out that this is not a five minute wash and go procedure. Other products on the market cater for this and also provide you with good results but most of these include a cutting compound which effectively removes a small surface layer of paint off your Porsches paintwork and the more you use these products the sooner you will be booking your car into your nearest paint shop to the disgust of your bank manager. In fact - as Beni will testify - each car featured in these Detailing Guides took over eight hours hard and intensive labour, but this was a labour of love and enthusiasm to which I managed to make myself scarce but now the shoe is on the other foot as I have to write this report!

Let me put that headline into perspective...
Porsche, £25 London Congestion Charge and Ken Livingstone
Porsche is threatening a legal challenge against London mayor Ken Livingstone's plans to extort a £25 congestion charge from drivers of high powered sports cars and 4x4s entering the UK’s capital.
The German luxury car company's British division have cited an "unjust" increase as it announced plans to make an application for judicial review on Livingstone's plans to hike the congestion charge for some cars to £25 from £8 now for entering the capital as a daily charge.

Welcome to the launch of both our new website and in particular the area you are reading now …
The Deutsch Nine E-zine.
Each month a select number of Porsche owners and authors including both myself (

951RS) will be writing a series of Porsche related topics which we trust you will all enjoy reading.
Coming soon - unbiased reports of long term Porsche ownership experiences from the supercars of today including through to the humble and much forgotten 914 and hopefully everything in between.
We have also enlisted the services of Ian (

Morgan) who is a professional blogger on automotive subjects. Each month Ian will be writing a dedicated article about manufacturing techniques so you can gain a full understand of how your Porsche was made from complex injection moulding techniques down to aerodynamics. Basically Ian will take us on a journey departing via your ignition key hole and exiting out your tail pipes. Meanwhile both myself and Beni will attempt to fill in all the gapes, covering Porsche history, new model launches, racing, one-on-one interviews and much, much more...
