DEUTSCH NINE offers this complete and revised Weight Optimized Ball Bearing Rear Axle for the uncompromising sport driver and for every systematic and consistently built race car.
The OEM rear axle is known for its rubber bearings wearing out causing an unstable rear axle and rumbling noises. Especially the rubber bearings between the rear axle cross tube and the strut often are heavily affected.
Our rebuilt Weight Optimized Ball Bearing Rear Axle painted in yellow (RAL 1021), silver (RAL 9006), or black (RAL 9005) includes the following upgrades and therefore probably is the best upgrade / replacement option on the market.
- The rubber bearings between the rear axle cross tube and the strut are replaced by grooved ball bearings (sealed up on both sides)
- OEM rear rubber bearings (477 501 089) are replaced by heavy duty solid Aluminium Bushings
- OEM upper rubber mountings (477 501 069A) are replaced by solid Aluminium mounting brackets
- The OEM two-part struts are replaced by a one-piece upgrade. Torsion bars are completely deleted, height adjustment is carried out via the coilover system only (we recommend the use of the KW Var. 3 or KW Competition). This allows the elimination of changes in toe and resonant intrinsic steering behavior under acceleration and load changes
- The guiding arm installation points are adapted allowing camber settings from 0° to -4° even when the car is extremely lowered
- The Rear Axle weighs 9.5kg less than the OEM version
Please note that this upgrade dramatically increases the rigidity of the rear axle reducing driving comfort.
